HEATHROW...Do They Have LARGE Trolleys For Multi-Suitcases ?
« on: December 09, 2007, 01:24:06 PM »

..followup to earlier post about Heathrow Cabs.

Hey everyone..hubs and i are about to depart 'ol blighty after a 3 year stint. We have 9 large suitcases to lug around and was wondering if they have the LONG trolleys that you can place 4-5 suitcases in one trolley as opposed to the regular sized trolley?

Saycheese
PS thanks to response to earlier post..got the taxi sorted..Meadway Cab Co. seem to be the most proffesional and reasonably prices as well.

Hmm, I don't think I've ever seen them. Call the airline or Heathrow and ask their advice.

I can't recall a 'skycap' type service but I'd imagine there may be something!

Glad to hear the cab worked out.  They are a good company - I got the recommendation off here originally, and have used them for the past 2 and a half years!

Ring the airport and ask what they can help with. When I moved over 7 years ago I had a terrible time with my multiple suitcases (and no one to help me with them). It had never occured to me that the trolleys wouldn't be the same size as US ones! In more recent flights with baby stuff in tow, I've still not seen anything readily available. But surely there must be something or someone who can help.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon
