Um. I think it's pretty lighthearted. The website starts with this:

TackyChristmasYards.com is NOT a malicious attempt to end all decoration, just a fun challenge to find the most violations. Locating the “best” yard is as much of an art as creating the “best” yard.

This is done in good humor- it is not a political statement.


It then goes on to list "violations" on the right hand side such as:

King Kong Complex Violation: If a giant polar bear is standing anywhere near a mid-sized Santa or the Abominable Snowman is lurking over the manger, do something, quick!

Really. It's supposed to be fun. Sorry if you're offended.





No, I wasn't offended. I totally agree one can go overboard. I think it's just that this past holiday season I keep hearing comments about how Americans are really tacky with their christmas decorations.  I even heard  a guy comment on a radio show that putting something as small up in the window as a lighted santa was tacky and he hoped they didn't become like the states. I LOVE christmas  and I miss wondering around neighborhoods looking at christmas lights. We had so much fun as children doing it.
