Transfer $ from US HSBC to UK HSBC

Can I transfer my savings account from US branch to a UK branch, or is it difficult?

I don't think you can.  It is probably cheaper if you used XEtrade to do the transfer all of the money to the account in the UK.

Do you need to open a UK account, or do you need to put money into it? Either way, it's probably easier to do a search first, as both topics have been covered previously. If you have more specific questions after that, quite a few people should be able to help.
