Stomach bug epidemic - norovirus

Yuck! I hope everyone can keep away from this!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

norovirus is a nasty bug- there was an outbreak of it at my undergrad uni during my freshman year.  Will be extra careful now, thanks balmerhon!

I just read an article about an outbreak of it at Weston General Hospital. Hopefully nobody will bring it into our flat....

apparently it had been making the rounds at the hospital where i went when the bairn stopped moving a few weeks ago--they had signs all over asking visitors to use antibacterial gel pumps on the walls when entering or leaving the ward.

scary stuff.

Argh. I'm sure this is what's been going around our house. It's nasty.

And, now we've got the flu! My boys and I got the flu shot back in October, but my husband didn't. He's suffering the worst.

Stay healthy!

*sigh* Too late.  :( :-[
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

I'm petrified of getting this one...especially since I am an Emetophobic (fear of vomiting)

Oh there's a name for it alright. You have no idea how people get about it. When you read the definition and symptoms, that's me. I don't go places where people get sick. I don't drink for those reasons, etc etc. It's bad.

I know when it's my turn to be pregnant, I guarantee that I will be sick the whole time.

The bug seems to be getting better around here but a lot of NI still has major issues with it
