Well, after 11 + yrs in this country, I finally did it and passed (with only 3 minors,yay!!),,was my second attempt, but conditions this time around were great.....rainy and cold (not alot of people out and about in Dorchester), independent driving (I can follow signs, thank you!) and only had to do a turn in the road,,,perfect!  xx b

I took my driving test last Friday (19 Nov) in London (well, Southall) and passed! It was my second attempt (failed the first time for not driving in the bus lane when it was open to cars...grr!), and it was so much easier the second time round - not only did I feel less nervous, but also knowing what to expect made a huge difference.

My first test was under the old system, and so I was a little worried about the new system, but it really wasn't bad at all.  The independent driving bit was fairly easy - I wasn't given a drawing/map to follow; the examiner simply told me to follow the signs for Ruislip, which was a pretty clear route. And only having to do one reversing maneuver (parallel parking) instead of two was fantastic!

I passed today on my 4th attempt... the reason why I failed the other 3 were STUPID...... All the instructors said i was an good experienced driver..... but it took the 4th attempt...

I now have a full manual licence!!!!!!!!!!!
