Have you heard the screaming Archipelago fangirls??

I just don't get it.  He's not THAT cute!  Or all that talented!  At least I had the decency to swoon over honest-to-goodness cuteness when I was that age (<--------).

Ah, Crying Girl... here's an entry on people.com from April 2.

Quote
During one of the commercial breaks, as Jason Castro took his seat on the interview stool, Debbie the stage manager called out into the audience, “Ashley? Ashley, where are you? Are you crying?” Sorry, Sanjaya, it looks like you’ve been replaced by this season’s hair phenomenon, Mr. Jason Castro, who has not only received a slew of fan mail from the same girl, but has also become the object of Crying Girl Ashley Ferl’s tearful affections.

I'm just waiting for David Cook's album to come out.  I don't see how he can't win this but either way, I'm already a fan.

I totally agree-I'd buy it tomorrow. He'll be another Daughtry, who actually does better by leaving the show early.

Can't you just hear him doing a cover of Edwin McCain's "I'll Be"? That would be awesome. ;D

I can't believe nobody did "Any Dream Will Do"!!  :o

(still not talking about results until after tomorrow night's show, but it's OK to talk about performances, right?)

I LOVED that Andrew Lloyd Webber told that boy to open his eyes.  And I'm sorry, but Brooke has to go.  She's so boring that I didn't even notice that she forgot her lines.

I still don't think she's boring, but she wasn't good at all last night. Having said that, nobody was with the exception of David Cook. I'm sure a lot of young girls think (for some very very odd reason) that Archipelago was good but, to me, he's the most boring of the whole lot. I suppose he does have a technically good voice, but he's so freakin' dull it's not even funny. But, I have to say that I agree Brook should go. HOWEVER ... I still love her so I'd rather some of the others went first! I know a lot of you like Jason Castro, but I find him completely unmemorable. The other day, I was trying to name all the contestants. I got totally stumped, and it wasn't until last night's show that I remembered he was the one I left out!

Meh, I say.  Meh.  They all picked awful songs, save for Carly.  I really don't understand why they insist on doing these Broadway weeks.  They never work out well.

However, next week is going to be the greatest week ever on AI:

NEIL DIAMOND, BAYBEE!!!!

I know a lot of you like Jason Castro, but I find him completely unmemorable.

I do like him, but have no delusions that he's going to be in the top three.  I kinda like his mellow Jack Johnson-y sound.  Plus, he does sound a lot better when he's produced.  Take a listen to some of his studio versions on iTunes.

I KNOW!!  I've been silently hoping that David Cook makes it through to next week so I can watch him rock out to "I Am I Said" (which is what he sings in my fantasy AI).

I know. The themes weeks kind of all suck. Well, I guess if it's song of a certain artist who has done all kinds of things ... Neil Diamond, for instance! That could be good. But when it's as restrictive as Broadway Week? That's just not going to work for most people.

I didn't like Carly. I only like Carly when she's not shrieking, but she seems to enjoy shrieking and the judges (except for Simon) appear to enjoy it too.

And why did they say Syesha was so great?! Is it just me or did she sound totally off key in that song??

Heeee!!!

I want someone to do Porcupine Pie!  ;D

I liked Carly for two reasons:

1. She picked a good song.

2. She looked like she was really enjoying herself.

I do agree, however, that she does get mired in that shrieky thing a bit too much.  But, Carly and David Cook were the only two who seemed to actually enjoy their songs.  Everyone else was exactly as Simon described Jason Castro - it was like their parents made them perform.

As for Syesha?  I am so tired of her and her wannabe divaness.  She has a good voice, but she seems to be so convinced that she's the next Whitney or Mariah that it overshadows everything she does.  If she makes the top two, I will cry.
