Dark Chocolate!
« on: January 15, 2008, 07:19:17 PM »
Hi, my name is Jenn and I'm a dark chockie junkie.

Last year I finally found my most favorite dark chockie, made by a Scottish company, Kshocolat.  Sainsbury just started carrying it, before I could only buy it online.  Their Dark Chocolate 72% cocoa is the most amazing ever.

Several of my dearest friends back home are also dark chockie junkies and agree this is one of the best they've had (I send them chockie care packages!)

Any other dc junkies here?  I know I can't be the only one!  :P

I love dark chocolate. I usually have a little bite with my tea after dinner. It's great, because a little goes a long way, and I don't end up eating too much as I often do with milk chocolate.

We usually buy Green & Blacks, but I will look out for Kschocolat next time I'm at Sainsbury's. Sounds yummy!

I'm not really a dark chocolate lover, but I've been a Kshocolat lover for years. Their white chocolate with lemon and pepper is incredible! Even though dark choc isn't my favourite, I do really like their dark with orange and cardamom. Mmmmm!

I read online that a bit of Dark Chocolate is good for your Heart, Diabetes, & Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I posted a few links if you wanted to read about them yourself. I was amazed myself I'm not a dark chocolate lover but after reading some of those articles I think I may have to rethink about making myself like dark chocolate.   ;)  ;D

I haven't tried that, but it sounds lovely! I think having fruit or some other flavour in it is good for people who don't normally love dark chocolate.

*raises hand*  I adore, love, and seek out dark chocolate.  And DH hates it so I get it all to my little self!  YAY!

My hubby loooves good dark chocolate.  It's the only sweets he'll eat really.  I like it and have learned to appreciate it.  It's true you only need a little bit to feel satisfied.  But given a choice I'd grab the cheap milk chocolate over the good dark stuff.  Bring on the stale, foil wrapped Santas and the drug store white "chocolate" hollow Easter Bunnies!  :D

I love dark chocolate above all other kinds.  And I love Lindor Extra Dark (black wrapper) truffles above all other dark chocolate.  I don't like nuts or fruits in my chocolate though. I'm lucky because the rest of my family are milk chocolate lovers.  When my husband buys me a bar of dark it's nice because I know it's really just for me.   :)

I don't like dark chocolate, but those of you who do might like to try Montezumas:

they do a dark choc with chilli that's quite nice (although i prefer the milk choc with nutmeg!)

Sneezing after eating dark chocolate is actually pretty common. My mother does it almost every time, but it doesn't stop her eating it!

I do love the G&B dark choc with cherries. But their 'milk' chocolate is also really good - not quite as milky as other brands but not dark either. Yum!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I'm not into milk chocolate at all and I would be crushed if dark chockie made me sneeze!
