She started using it when she started dating Adnan (English Paparazzi). The spanish accent happened when she went too her assistant Carlas house (she's mexican I believe)

Doing this can be a sign of mental illness - i.e. adopting different personalities to cope with her problems. Given that she's only just started doing this, while doing all the other crazy things she's been seen doing lately, I'm not sure anyone but a professional could say if it's related or not.
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I have heard of multiple personality disorder, and what she is going through now might be a catalyst for that, but if she really was having British and Spanish personalities wouldn't the accents be better than that?

Maybe she just picked it up from her new pap-boyfriend? Aside from whatever other mental problems Britney may or may not have, it is entirely possible to pick up accents from those around us.

Yes, but I'm around DB quite often and I have picked up a few things, and sometimes end up saying both ways at the same time, but not a complete British accent, and hers doesn't even sound right. It sounds fake.

If she's manic, which she probably is because they said she hadn't slept in 96 hours or something like that, it could be part of that...I don't know much about bipolar though, so I'm just guessing.

I don't know if this was already posted somewhere but on the radio this morning they said that Britney was sectioned yesterday  :-\\\\

It was also reported that her mother said Britney didn't feed her child for five days.

I hope she can get better and the press just leave her alone for awhile. It's just such a very sad story.

It is that she has multiple personalities, but that it is easier for her to pretend that she is someone else.  There is a difference.  There is a debate as to whether MPD even exists on the level that public understands it.

It doesn't exist in the Sybil way that a lot of people imagine. In fact, there's no recognised disease named Multiple Personality Disorder. There is Dissociative Identity Disorder, however, but it's a pretty complex thing.

I just read the story and watched a short video clip of them taking her to the hospital. She had a motorcade, police escorts and helicopters! What the hell for? Isn't it just a silly waste of emergency resources? She didn't bomb an airline she just needs some help. I believe if she were in her right state of mind she would have preferred to have a more discreet departure. An ambulance yes the rest of it is ridiculous.

The helicopter was on standby because it was thought she might attempt to bolt (as she was meant to be picked up the day before but took off). Her psychiatrist felt her driving (given she had not slept in days and was in the middle of a manic episdoe) made her a threat to others. Given the circus that happened the last time she was hospitalized and the potential danger of her in a car (and her ever-present swarm of paparazzi, who, had she taken off, would have no doubt recklessly followed her), the LAPD probably made the right call in erring on the side of caution.

Bi-polar affects people in different ways. My friend who is bi-polar doesn't have manic episodes, but is either relatively normal or on an EXTREME downer.  He also suffers from narcolepsy, which may well be what is happening with B
