Well I have just signed up to be a movie extra..... :o

The movie is called Me and Orson Welles set in the Mercury Theatre, New York.

It has Zac Efron and Claire Danes in it...

Enjoy.  Will you be in a studio or on location?

Last year my husband and I were extras in a miniseries that will be on Sky TV this Easter.  A lot of standing in the hot sun in heavy (period) clothing, very long hours and little time for pee breaks. But worth it.

That's awesome, MeShell! Have fun!

I was lucky enough to do this once in high school and like Prof. Potts, it was long hours, hot in heavy clothes, and a lot of standing around. But I thought it was worth it too. Even when my scene got cut! lol

I have to provide my own knee length black skirt and low court heels.

It is set in New York 1930's so our hair will be styled accordingly....

Essentially, it's about this 17-year-old guy who stumbles upon a new theater production being done by Orson Welles and happens to end up in the production. The story takes place in the span of a week and during that week, the guy learns a lot about himself and interacts with a variety of interesting characters...the over-the-top brilliant but very self-centered and self-serving Orson Welles, some fun other characters in the production, his crazy school pals, and some women he connects with in various ways.

The story has a lot of humor in it and some drama. It's kind of a coming-of-age thing.

I go for my wardrobe fitting tomorrow...have to be at the filming location at 6:55 pm...this should be fun..

Filming on the 2,3 and 9th of March..
