Meanwhile, back on the island...I get very frustrated and annoyed with this show, but obviously not enough to stop watching. And they've pulled me in again with the hook of flash-forwards; I'm interested to see what paths they each take that leads them to the glimpses of what we've seen (Why can Jack NOT cope? Why did Hurley freak out so bad and run from the cops? If Charlie's dead, why did the other guy at the mental hospital see him? Who's Kate with? Who died that caused Jack try to commit suicide?), BUT... what I find anNOYING is:
WHY DOES NO ONE ASK THE OBVIOUS QUESTIONS?
?
"They are not who they say they are!"
Then, the question would be:
A) "Then WHO ARE THEY?"
or
B) "Really? WHY DO YOU SAY THAT?? HOW DO YOU KNOW?"
Alas, no.
Instead of cleverly woven dialogue to go with a cleverly woven story, we get more b*tch-slaps and interruptions.
I think it's good story, bad dialogue.
I really don't care anymore about how there is an invisible guy in a house who needs help that only certain people can see.
I'd still like to know what/who the monster/steam/ball&chain/killing machine is, but, I will live if I never find out.
And I think I'll start a drinking game for every time Juliette smirks. She seems to do that in EVERY scene, regardless.
And yet... I cannot wait for next week.
I remain a faithful watcher, if ONLY to see Penny and Desmond reunited.
