Anything good in the post today?
« on: February 12, 2008, 03:09:43 PM »
I had a gorgeous postcard from SoCal, a card that a friend had promised to send me, and a notice of a Special Delivery letter (rarely good news).

Two Get Well Cards (one from Nana, one from the teenager's boyfriend) for the ten year old and some Nectar Card coupons for me.  :)

Only junk mail here too. They keep sending us Somerfield stuff and there is no Somerfield for miles around!

Not home yet, but, I hope there is a little slip saying that the package from my mum arrived.  :D

Nothing but Nectar card coupons!

Oh, and a VAT invoice from FedEx demanding £30, but that definitely doesn't count as good.

Two Dvd's from Lovefilm.

Yesterday was better--a big envelope with mail I'm still getting back in the US including a Victoria's Secret catalogue and a quick note from my friend who's sent it to me with an update on Jack her cat and how he caught a mouse!

I wish! A letter from a place we owe money to. We've been paying an agreed reduced amount, but they want to know if I'm ready to increase that. Ummm, no!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

Ah-ha! I disagree with that! For me, a Special Delivery usually means something like an Amazon Delivery, or a gift from home, or even a £25 voucher for M&S which I got last Saturday as a surprise from the car dealership i took my car to for a service!!!

Those all sound really nice! But, to me, Special Delivery usually means some sort of legal and/or financial document that needs a signature. I'd much rather have an M&S voucher! But I'll let you know on Thursday when it's being redelivered. ;D

I applied for Coby's Brit passport online a few days ago and it came today. Now to get the countersignatures and we'll be set!
