(They did attempt delivery on 6 March and DH collected it this morning from the local sorting office - the helium was still active so the balloon is now floating against the sitting room ceiling, so DH tells me!)

Yes!  An offer for the 18 year old for a Foundation course at a really good art school.  That's one less thing to worry about.
