Oh, those used to be an addiction of mine when I had my boring desk job! I went off them (and pretty much everything else) when I got pregnant and haven't got the taste for them back yet. But I suspect I'm going to have to steer clear once my appetite comes back!!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I just sent a little package containing Minstrels to my Welsh-born, Cornish-raised friend back in the US.  She's been living in the US for 20 years now and Minstrels and McVitie's chocolate digestive biscuits are what she always asks for!

I had too many Jelly Bellies yestersday.  But I was staying awake in a training class for work, so I suppose it was worth it.

I hate Minstrels (my husband loves them, I call them Menstruals) the shell is too thick, I prefer M&M's they have perfect shells!!

I've noticed the same. I found that by just sucking on them instead of chewing, they have a different taste. I never chew the Minstrels.

LOL @ 'Menstruals'
I'm not a big Al Joleson fan either. I prefer traditional M&M's!

I preferred Peanut Treats before they got renamed to M&M's!

Ditto for Marathon becoming Snickers!   ;D

Back in the 70's USA we used to have a 'Marathon' bar which is exactly the same as a Cadbury Curly Whirly. Anyone remember old Marathon bars?
