Where to buy audio equipment?

Hi - I need to price some audio equipment (condenser microphone, digital recorder, etc.) from UK retailers, but the stuff I need is beyond your average Maplin! What are trusted sources (online or otherwise) for such things? Of course a zillion sites come up on Google, but I have no way of knowing which sites are trustworthy. Any ideas?
