I can't even eat a small loaf of bread before it goes moldy!

Stick it in the fridge! It dries it out a bit, but if you're using it for toast it doesn't matter! Our kitchen is one of the the only rooms in the house that gets tons and tons of sunshine and so bread builds up moisture inside the bag. I almost always have to keep it in the fridge....

I would if we had any room to spare in our tiny fridge!

One of these days we'll have something bigger than a dorm-style fridge, and I'll be the happiest Meggie in the world.  ;D

Gimme my trans fats, damnit!  >:(

Seriously, though - I know preservative are BAD NEWS OMG, but I'm getting really sick of having to throw out all sorts of food because it spoils in two days.  I can't even eat a small loaf of bread before it goes moldy!

Why not freeze the bread and take out some slices when you need it?
I do that with a large loaf.....usually comes apart ok, occasionally it doesn't and you end up with instant breadcrumbs instead!  ;D

Ditto on the ASDA-find.  They have a HUGE display of 2-for-£1 Oreos right now.  The packages look like they have about 20(?) cookies in them, making that a far better deal than the typical 6-packs you find in the corner shop for 50p.  Ours even were giving them out as "free samples" to promote the offer - sweeeeet.

That's where I found mine.  The lady giving out free samples was amazed when I put the entire cookie right in my mouth.  For me, there's no lady like behaviour when it comes to oreos!

I do feel a bit ill now as I ate too much of them.  I'm so greedy! :(

Did I mention the dorm-style fridge doesn't even have a proper freezer compartment? :P

We've got one of those two.  We've got our sights set on a side-by-side Fridge/Freezer at Costco. When our ship comes in.... [smiley=disappointed.gif]
I refuse to answer that question on the grounds that I don't know the answer.

We got the same. With a little ice making compartment that passes for a freezer.
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

Us too, only we would need the bigger house to go around the fridge.

We would love an American size fridge/freezer as well but we would also have to have a bigger house to fit it into though lol.  ::)  :P

UK flat sized!  ;D   Here's one from Target that looks pretty much exactly the same as ours.
