orthodontist sos help urgent!

   I arrived in the UK 9 months into treatment to correct over crowding.  My insurance in the states paid the bulk of it leaving 1200 as my copay. Yes, I live here , but am still paying off the ortho at home  :\\\'(. I finally found an ortho here that could see me.  It took 2.5 months.  It has now been 2 months past the first visit and he finally has the treatment plan.  5 more months, plus a few new brackets.  1200 pounds!!  Is this as crazy as it sounds?!?  I am through the bulk of the treatment and 1200 pounds?!?  Advice?  Help?  Please....I am still trying to find a job, at 40, with a mouth full of braces.

I would say shop around. 

My daughter's entire treatment was 1400 pounds and they gave me an interest free loan that I paid off over 14 months. 

My son is covered under the NHS so no charge for him.

Orthodontia is a little different here than in the States but you would think that they could get your records and he should be able to just carry on the previous treatment.

I have been shopping around.  Unfortunately, the most common form of treatment is the invisalign. I guess anyone who is a dentist can use them.I am in regular braces and orthodontists are thin on the ground to speak.  I am in Harrow.  Thanks for the advice though. I will keep on looking....and hoping!  Anyone else have ideas?

Not one but they should at least know who their orthodontist is!
