Blue Iris, Mr. Karrit will come along to keep your DH company.  Mr. K. works close by and would be happy to put up with some book discussion in exhange for some good Mexican food, but would be even happier to have another man for alternate conversation.

Thanks, Karrit. I hope your DH doesn't feel like he has to come. My DH is still thinking about it, but the fact that there will be another guy there who won't be participating at least puts him more at ease. Can I let you know for sure if he's coming on Monday? Either way, I am definitely coming.

Vicky - that was quick!  I read it over a 2 day period when I was sick and couldn't do much else.  It was so absorbing that it just grabbed me and didn't let go.

Blue Iris and Karrit - my DH would like to come too (for the fab Mestizo food and the company) if there will be other men in attendance.  He hasn't read the book either but doesn't mind....  I'll wait to see what the consensus is tomorrow and if other DH will be there, he will be there too.

Unfortunately, my DH will be unable to attend this time. But I will definitely be there. Looking forward to it!

Thanks for the update Blue Iris.  So far, I have 5 total...Blue Iris, Courtney, Victoria, Darwin's Disciple and me.  Anyone else?  We want to confirm our reservations at Mestizo.

Thanks!

Just to confirm, the reservation is for 7:00, right? What time do you think we'll finish? Not that I'm in a rush, I just want to have a general idea of what train home to try to catch. I assume we'll wrap between 9:00 and 9:30 if there are only a small group of us?

Is it too late to RSVP? My can't-miss activity for that night got unexpectedly cancelled and I'd dearly love to come.
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

Hi Mort - of course you can come!  I'm handling the restaurant reservations, so I'll make sure you are included.

Looking forward to seeing you at Mestizo at 19:00 tomorrow!

That is my assumption - a finish time of between 9:00 and 9:30.  As it's a school night and I need my beauty rest, I can't stay out any later than that, really!

As a little time saver, here is the address for Mestizo:

MESTIZO
103 Hampstead Road
NW1 3EL London
Tel: 020 7387 4064
Fax: 020 7383 4984

It is near Euston Station.

See you there!
