any nurses trying to get work in the UK?
« on: April 20, 2004, 07:17:40 PM »
just looking to connect with nurses going through the process of registering with the NMC and getting a PIN card, etc.

grr...if nursing is such a "shortage" occupation, why is there such a process...sigh...but i guess that's life, eh :'(

or anyone that knows a friendwho's going through it, etc...just holla back ;)

Hi, I know this is a late response to your post, but I just found the site.
I just sent in my form for the NIM and I will be living in London (without working) as of June 27th.
I agree with you about the lengthy process!  I contacted 4 agencies and they all stated the same thing - 4-6 months is the soonest.
If you are still around, and any other nurses out there, please post!
