How much did you take with you on the plane? How many bags.. how much clothing ...how many books?

I brought three bags.  Two large ones and one small/medium checked bags.  One backpack on the plane because that's all that was allowed for flights going into the UK (the rules are really weird on that...).

I brought mostly clothes, some posters for my room (that I had in my room back home), shoes, accessories (umbrella, etc.)...  I should have brought less clothing and more books, honestly, because it would have been better to save money on books back home.

I wouldn't have brought as many clothes or things like an umbrella, which can be bought for a decent price here (TK Maxx has really nice cheap ones, same with Boots).
The chances are there's a reason we've been left here, but I'm not disappointed.  - Idlewild

2 large bags (the largest permitted by the airline then) and a backpack.

I took my laptop, 10 books or so that would be crucial for my studies, clothes that in retrospect I'd never need in Scotland, towels, etc.

Looking back now I'd rather have brought more comfort items with me, photos, books, knick knacks and bought all my household items at woolworths but I had never been over here and had no clue. I got off the plane, jetlag hit me then I went to explore Glasgow in Teva sandals, shorts and a t-shirt.... afterwards packing them away and never trying something so stupid ever again.
