Kosher Section at Asda
« on: March 17, 2008, 03:57:54 PM »
My local Asda (Manchester Trafford Centre) Seems to have recently acquired a WHOLE aisle of international food, so now they have a KOSHER SECTION! And they had maneshewitz egg noodles! Now I won't have to use pasta for my kugal!

Dunno, but making a kugel with noodles from that maneshewitz bag will make it taste more Jewish!!!

I know, it's weird. I don't know what the difference is either, but there is something.

My mom is here, might have to get her to make some kugel!!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

You know, I'm really not sure - only that the egg pasta I've tried here (mostly tagliatelle) has been much thicker/heavier.  I developed a taste for egg noodles and butter when I was in high school and I've missed the taste/texture since I moved over!

LOL
And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

They even have BAMBA (if you know what that is...)
My kugel is all cut up into pieces now, so its not so appetizing, but next time I make one, I will take a picture for you!!!

I'll have to check it out. I'm so NOT an ASDA shopper but it's worth a visit if I can get me some Jew grub!
