Fortunately my Spanish is sufficiently up to scratch to see the original of this movie.

What I can say about it is that it's got to be the scariest movie in a long time.  Not scary in a blood and gore sense, because there's no blood and gore.  But a type of deep-down psychologically disturbing scariness.  The suspense puts knots in your stomach.

So if you're going to see it, be sure you like that sort of thing...

Totally my kind of movie! The U.K. website looks totally spooky and neato as well. I would love to see it. I love those kind of movies, where I have to keep reminding myself, it's just a MOVIE for goodness sakes.......while my hair is standing on end, and I'm covered with goosebumps.....

DH wants us to see this because he loved 'Pan's Labyrinth'.  The reviews are great, so maybe I'll give it a shot, even though horror movies aren't usually my cup of tea.  I had nightmares after seeing 'Signs' and 'The Others' for bob's sake!  ::)

We saw it Wednesday night! [smiley=2thumbsup.gif]  Definitely a good psychological thriller - kind of reminded me of The Others, just a little bit, not entirely.

We have both become fans of Guillermo del Toro's films - after seeing both El Espinazo del Diablo (The Devil's Backbone) and El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth).  Can't wait for the third instalment of that trilogy - 3993, to come out in 2009.
