I think you'd be hard pressed to find an employer that would count it as a 'real' masters.   Although you might get some joy abroad.

Ahh, so I guess he wasn't pulling my leg then :-). DH definitely isn't interested in trying to pass it off as a "real" masters, but thinks we might enjoy going back to Cambridge to 'claim' it when the time comes. A fancy dinner wouldn't come amiss either. And of course, the chance to see him again in those robes...!

A little late in seeing this, as your question has already been answered - but, no, he's not pulling your leg.  DH graduated from Oxford in 1997 and several of his friends from uni have gone back and done the MA walk - he himself didn't walk until 2001 (his mother was chronically ill and 2001 was the first time she could make the trip down to Oxford at that time of year) so he feels no pressing need to do the whole thing again, though he may well if and when we decide to move back to the states! 

In London, one of the better programs for graphic design is at Central Saint Martins. I don't know much about the others at undergrad level... I think Chelsea has a good one as does Ravensbourne and Camberwell but I'd need to ask around to verify that this is still the case (I teach undergrad graphic design history so know a bit about this field!). Outside London, Reading is pretty good (about 30 min train to London). It used to be a 4 year undergrad program but about 2-3 years ago switched to 3 years which is standard for British undergrad degrees).

If you would consider way out of London, Falmouth is one of the best programs.

Just as a side note, I have no idea if your AS courses will transfer here or not...
