May issue of Fresh magazine
« on: March 29, 2008, 07:17:54 PM »
I just picked it up today because it's featuring recipes from the Americas! They also tell you where to source a lot of stuff like Fluff and grape jelly - but it seems to be Selfridge's every time. Not that I want to buy either of those two items, but just the same. Anyway, I haven't had a chance to look through the whole magazine yet, but it has a New England Sunday lunch, some Mexican recipes, Caribbean recipes and some healthy American stuff. I just thought I'd mention it in case anyone's interested!

Ohh, cool!

Is it new?  I've never heard of it before.

(Hmm, just looked and it's been around for over a year, issue 32)

I've never bought it before, but I have read it in my chiropractor's waiting room!  :)

I'm off to find it!

IIRC, there's a Selfridge's in Glasgow.

I've been craving sherbet and an orange julius - but I need OJ from concentrate - desperately lately.

Not yet!
It's been talked about for years, and i think they own a site on which to put a store, but there's no Selfridge's store in Glasgow yet.
(unless it's happened in the last couple of months and I've not heard about it!)

I've tried two news agents and can't seem to get my hands on it. Tried M&S Simply Food as well.  >:( I need to run to Sainsburys on the way home - that's my last shot.

I got mine at Smith's.  I had to move some other magazines to see it though, and it was on the bottom tier.

I just bought it at Sainsburys yesterday and had a skim-through last night. Nothing jumped out and grabbed me on the North American front but some of the Caribbean and South American stuff sounded pretty interesting. I need to have a proper read of it all though.

When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I need to remember to pick this up tomorrow - I've been out twice since I first saw this post and haven't remembered either time!
