I bet there'll be plush Adiposes out by the end of the month - did you see the little plush ones they used while filming, that they showed in the Confidential?

Re: TW - as one of my friends said, the A plot sort of sucked.  Gray was a one-dimensional homicidal maniac (not even believably insane from torture), parts of Cardiff exploded for reasons on which I'm still not completely clear, and how come Jack being cryogenically frozen for a hundred years and stored in the vaults didn't cause a paradox with the younger Jack occupying the same place?  At the same time, James Marsters was brilliant (MUCH better than in KKBB) and the entire Tosh/Owen sequence just broke my effing heart.  Especially that Owen never knew that Tosh was injured, and "died" thinking he was leaving the entire team behind.

I didn't even realise Rose was going to be in the series so soon! My sister and I let out a collective scream as soon as she turned around - I avoided the pictures, I thought she was just some blonde.

HOLY COW that was awesome, although I've been Who-starved for way too long. I'm actually kind of glad we're going to have some tension free days. Martha's relationship was a bit too heartwrenching, just cos if you've ever been in the same situation - and, honestly, who wouldn't with The Doctor.

But yeah... I'm looking forward to just mates for a few episodes. And volcano day!

ditto! I wasn't expecting it to happen in the very first episode!

but why did she disappear - that is the mystery?  what's going on there?

Does the spoilers thread have only episode 1 spoilers or whole series spoilers?  If just ep 1 spoilers I'll elucidate on the 'wow' over there.

Could we actually keep them separate?  I know there are some who want to discuss spoilers of episodes that are yet to air, while others just want to squee about the most recent ep.  The original "countdown" thread could be renamed "Doctor Who Squee Thread - No Spoilers!"

Or can merged threads be unmerged? 

I can see what you're saying, but all the discussion was taking place on the spoiler thread and the other had kind of died. 

I don't want to read spoilers either, so I sympathise but I also don't want to be forced to read spoilers by people asking me to move ones that have been posted in the wrong thread.
