after 19 hours of unproductive yet nontheless excruciating labour, roisin erin hanna was born through an emergency c-section at 9.17am on friday, 28 march 2008, at solihull hospital. she clocked in at 7lbs 10oz, 19 inches.
she's perfect.
she was born 10 days early. labour was induced because i was diagnosed with obstetric cholestasis, which is a liver condition which can adversely affect the fetus if it's left in the womb. it's supposed to completely disappear once the baby's born, and it only appears during pregnancy. i'm fine now.
bri was amazing the whole time. i couldn't have gotten through it all without him right there with me. he's on paternity leave now for two weeks--thank god, because i'm banned from doing pretty much everything for six weeks. he's my rock.
