They have a tool on the website.  You can enter your ss#, and how many exemptions you claimed and it will tell you when your check will be mailed out.

It was reassuring to me, at least now I know they got my return.

I used this tool, put in my ssn, filing status and number of exemptions.  It said I did not qualify because my qualified income was not high enough.

Did you claim the foreign income exclusion and did your adjusted gross income end up being 0 or negative number?

I had heard that people living in UK all year not earning any income from US were getting stimulus cheques.  Surely they must be in the same situation not having enough qualified income?

My income was 0 I think.

Ahhhh, I can't remember.  But I am sure it was 0.  Maybe.

How long ago did you use it?  I know they weren't going to allow checks to people who didn't earn enough, but then changed their minds.

So maybe you checked before they decided to give everyone a check?

Mine came 4 weeks ago for $300 to my UK address. I was States bound the next week so popped it in my pocket and flew it to the US and dropped it into my account there. It then bought me a new iPod there which I popped into my pocket and flew back to Britain without any of those import duties or VAT... thus nothing lost on the exchange rate and an iPod gained at the US price which saved some nice cash... they do it again I want an iPhone :-p

I got mine a couple of weeks ago to my UK address. It was for $300, and I did exclude all of my UK income on my taxes.

Happened to have a friend visiting from the US, so sent him back with the check and a deposit slip. Made things nice and easy.

Where can I find this tool?

I only checked about a week ago.  Maybe they look at your pre-foreign income excluded amount and if it's too high they don't send you a cheque?  On the other hand, if people are only getting theirs to the UK within the past couple of weeks maybe it's on its way over?

I understand they're sorting by SSN so it might be that mine is lower down the pile?
I'd love to get mine before Friday if it is coming because I'm off to the States then!  I'd be sweet if I got $300 for my daughter as well.

Is anyone still waiting for their check?  I'm on the VERY LAST rung to receive because of my SSN and because I will get a paper check.  I'm pretty sure I should get one because I'm in the same situation as most people on this thread - no US income, UK income under the $85k or whatever mark.  I filed my return on time and there was no complicated stuff to claim, as I have 0 assets in the US.

It would be nice to get one!

I've not had mine yet either. According to the wizard on the IRS site, I should have had mine AGES ago.... but then I only filed JUST before the extended deadline for overseas residents. I'm in the same boat as you are... no US income, and no US assets. Easy peasy!

You lot that have already gotten yours, did you all file before the April deadline, or did you file later?
Ok, so I'm smug.

I filed on like 13 June or something, so right at the deadline.  And I received the notice of the payment a couple days ago, but the actual payment I received in my bank about two weeks ago.
