I didn't even know they made bathroom scales!

I have Salter ones and they do all I really want them to do. I'd ultimately like to get out of the habit of weighing myself altogether ... but I'm definitely not there yet.  :-\\\\

I have a set of Tanita scales that I nicked off my sister (thanks, sis!) and brought to the UK - they do weight in lbs/kgs/st as well as body fat/bmi (though I don't actually know how to do that part, nor am I really inclined to find out - that's what tracking websites are for!).  They're digital (obviously) with a nice clear number display - but I think they're at least five years old, if not more, so probably not still available for purchase.  :-\\\\

I know!  They look cool though.  I have a Salter too, but I can't really see much on it.  I know I've lost weight, but it's so hard to see the number on my own :-\\\\  (I don't weigh myself more then once a week, but I like the memory function)

Thank you Meg!  Does yours have a way of attaching to your computer?  I've seen some that can and I'm so curious about it.

I know!  I had an on-line survey to do and they were asking about them.  How weird is that! (Of course I'm sure in a few years it won't be at all!)

You can't see on it? I don't get it? Like the numbers are too small??

I had a scale that measured body fat when I was in the US. I think it may have been Weight Watchers.

I didn't think it was very accurate, as it calculated body fat by determining the per cent body fat in the lower half of your body, then multiplying by 2. I don't know many women whose fat is distributed exactly even between upper and lower halfs.

My body fat percentage would also change after I peed.

My understanding is that the only accurate way to measure body fat is via calipers, so you can measure body fat at different parts of your body, since different people will store more fat in different places.

I don't think I will be using the body fat function, but thank you

Right. I never really understood why scales bothered to include a body fat option.
