All right, you lot are such a bad influence!

GOOD influence!  At least in this instance.  ;)

Project 365?
I think it is blog where you put a photograph on it everyday, is that right? One per day?
So if I go there what do you do? You all seem to be hep on it?

Yes, a picture a day for a year.
Just pick a blog that seems easy to use that shows pictures nicely and sign up!  Follow the instructions from there.  Most of us are on Blogger.com, but not all.  It's whatever your preference is.

All right, you lot are such a bad influence! I think I'm going to give this a go, starting if when we move to Leeds. Seems as good a time to start as any!

YAY!

Can I just tell you how much I lust after your camera?  I LOVE that camera.  I have a savings just waiting to hit the right amount to buy that baby.
I absolutely love my Nikon D50!!!  I have often said I'm so glad I bought this while I was still single because I just couldn't justify the expense now with a family budget, and my SLR has brought me so much joy!  I also broke down and bought a 70-300mm lens.  I love the impact from Nikon's Nikkor lenses.  They are fab!  I really couldn't afford the lens, but a friend who does photography happened to have a second one and sold it to me for half the store price--how could I not buy it!!  The only problem with having a camera like that is it isn't always convenient to carry like a small camera would be.  I have a rucksack with a special camera section that helps when I'm hiking and such.

I really want to take some photography classes though.  I can never quite shake the feeling that I'm missing so much potential with this camera.  I would like to learn more of the tricks of using the non-automatic features.  I've only started experimenting a bit.  Really I think this whole photography thing is in the blood.  I always knew that my dad,  uncles, and a cousin were into photography, but I was surprised to find out that my great-grandfather had a darkroom in his house as well.  I guess I couldn't escape, so this project is fun because it's forcing me to finally take a close look at improving my skills.  I still have a very long way to go, but I'm finding that my eye is getting stronger for details. Now if I just had more time to search out things!

Awww, thanks!  And here I was thinking it was getting a bit boring lately.

Same here.  My current camera doesn't allow much manual control, which is a bit of a drag.  Although, it is still helping my eye a lot.  My film SLR is still a great camera, but, it needs a new reflector after my father dropped it and I just can't afford the fix.

My 35mm camera is much better than the digital one that I use for my 365 ... but a digital camera is just more suited to this kind of thing.  :-\\\\

Ditto. :(
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon
