I do it every few days but with our move and then with my laptop still on the fritz, I'm having to do it in chunks. What I do now is keep a list of what pic I want to post on what day because I can't get the date set correctly on my camera and I can't find my manual for it!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I have my laptop on all day for work - and so my Project 365 is kind of like a break from that. I love it.

I take pictures and upload them every day. (Although I have cheated once or twice w/ a picture that I didn't take!)  :)

Well, if it bothers you so much, just don't look at mine!  ;)  :)

Hmm... that seems a pretty unfriendly comment, despite your use of the smilies.

Im just saying that somewhere i read the 'rules' of the Project 365, which said that all photos must be taken by yourself.

It's not a big deal, i suppose... i just like it when people play by the rules!  :)

Thanks for your input, Genau! I understand what you're saying about the rules and I'd tend to agree with you about sticking to rules on most things in life.

However, for me there are two things to note:

1. I've got 2 VERY demanding little boys and a crazy-hectic lifestyle. Therefore, *bending* the rules a bit on something like my own blog is totally fine with me if it means keeping me sane.

2. I've come to see my blog as a really special record of this year. Therefore, when I look back at it, I'd rather see pictures that actually mean something to me.

I definitely don't want to get snarky - that was not my intention. Can we let this rest now?  :)

My blog is updated!  I failed and didn't keep up with my pictures as well as I should, but, life got a bit crazy with work travel and family stuff.  I'll be better from now on.  Promise!

A broken computer wasn't helping things, either!  The pictures aren't as amazing as I would like, but, at least they are there!  I need to get back into my groove!  ;D

Okay!

I've decided to edit my Project 365 to refer to it as 'Ours' - meaning, me and my husband's. I think that's a good compromise to stay within rules, even though I'll still be taking most of the pictures and writing all the text.

Hopefully there will be no objections.  :)

no problems here with that :) Enjoy your project and your photo journal.  I had two my DH took--one of which I framed up and asked him to take b/c it was physically impossible for me to get the right angle of my feet--I figured professional photogs do the same thing and get the credit even if someone else pushed the button. There was another that we were there together on and he asked to take.  I acknowledged his participation, but almost didn't.

Here's mine, but I only started today.
Yay!!!

My take on "cheating" is that this is a personal project for me, just for fun, and I refuse to beat myself up about not playing by the "rules". I apply that to everybody else, too. And some of the "cheats" have been fab!

This is such a good idea (I've been in my own world for a while!) and I'm totally going to start this tomorrow. I *always* have my camera in my bag anyway!

I love yours! Your little boys are so cute and your pictures of Maryland make me really miss it.  :-\\\\

Ditto!

I've struggled with the 'you must take them' rule myself and so far have not broken it (I did have one pic up I didn't take, but took it down!). However, I'm probably going to do like Sevans and rethink this a bit. For me, this blog is a really important record of my family's life but I'm getting some comments from the people who I really want to read/see it (my family in the US) that they want to see me, too. Now my DH does take pics of me, but he's not nearly as dedicated as I am with the project. Nor would he have the time or desire to do a simultaneous blog. So on the somewhat rare occasion when he does get some nice pics of me, I think I may start posting them. Or, if nothing else, post one by me and one by him on those days.

But that's another rule broken, isn't it!!?? ;)
