Took me all afternoon, cos Blogger was uploading at a snail's pace, but... my 365 is now all up to date!

J told me recently that his mother checks my 365 every day. One of my goals was to keep my family and friends in touch with our life here, and it seems to be working! :D

That's great! My mother tells me that family visit the site all the time. But after 6+ years of my main blog, plus this one, I am sick to death of them not telling ME they visit. So I put a slightly snarky post up today inviting them all to use the 'comment' feature. ::) Let's see if it works!
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

My Mom looks every day but doesn't comment.  She says I know what her comments would be anyone.  Which is basically true. :)

My mom emails me. It's not her I'm after. It's all my other family (aunts, uncles, cousins). They're all technically savvy enough, they're just lazy. It's part and parcel with the whole 'why don't you email me' stuff. Well, if I emailed all of them individually (saying the same thing mind you), I'd never get anything else done.

Sorry, rant over! :)

*chortle*

Evidently my MIL had been thinking of commenting, but felt shy about it. J told her that I adore getting comments, and she actually posted one! :)

Just out of curiousity, because I seem too thick to figure it out myself. Can people without Blogger/Google/Typepad etc accounts post comments? This may be the problem. Most of my family are computer savvy but not blog savvy. So they have Yahoo or Hotmail email, but that's it. I see something called OpenID but what's that?!

My brain is so fried these days!

My 365 is on Blogger and anyone can leave a comment. I think it'll show up as Anonymous, though, unless they've registered and logged on with a name.

It didn't work on my regular blog! Hopefully your family will get the hint!

It's just so frustrating. I get grief for not keeping up with it, then no one tells me what they think. They tell my mother but apparently can't tell me.

But yeah, they are pretty thick-skinned.  :)

I enjoy comments, but I don't mind when people don't leave them. I hardly ever comment on other peoples but that doesn't mean I don't enjoy looking at them!! I know some of my family look at mine and don't comment but whenever I speak to them they tell me how much they enjoy it and that's enough to make me happy!  :D I guess I sort of look at my 365 and my blog as being a bit of a chronicle/diary for myself more than for anyone else - though it's a nice bonus to know that others look and enjoy....
