chary, I'm LOVING yours - absolutely stunning! You really do have a talent.

What a really nice way to share little snapshots of your life with the folks back home. I am so enjoying looking through these!
Ok, so I'm smug.

Me too! I'm sitting here thinking what my post for today is going to be! I hope I can keep up my enthusiasm over the year.

I kind of worry about that, too. I've only been at it for a month so far, but I'm just concerned it'll devolve into photo after photo of my cat ... not that there's anything wrong with that.  ;)

Well, I have a feeling that mine is going to feature lots of cups of coffee.  Still, I think it'll be fun.

I know. I just have to get into the mindset of realising that photos of everyday things can be just as cool and just as interesting as photos of different places/people. But now I'm still at the stage where I get excited when I know I'm going somewhere new, thinking of all the pics I can take!

I absolutely love Chary and Shell's.  The others are so fun too.  Everything is great.  I've created a "Project 365" folder in my google toolbar bookmarks now so I can keep them in the same place.  I also found this which I thought had some good advice: http://photojojo.com/content/tutorials/project-365-take-a-photo-a-day/  I'll post mine once I get it up and going--working on the webpage now.  I think I've decided to use my smugmug account, but I'm not sure which day I'll start.

Darksquid, what instrument is that?  I thought lute or mandolin but changed my mind.  I'm a violinist, so your first photo definitely caught my attention.

This is fun, what an inspiration your blogs all are. I'm setting mine up now :D
I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

It's an Appalachian, or Mountain dulcimer:

I mainly play Early Music on it (I also play recorder and crumhorn), but it's also brilliant for traditional Celtic and Bluegrass. It's very very easy to pick up, but is surprisingly versatile. It's so easy, I even taught my gran to play a tune on it!

I find having a 10 minute play on it after work is a great way to wind down, and it's quiet enough that it doesn't disturb the neighbours like my recorder apparently does  ::)
Ok, so I'm smug.
