Pushing Daisies

Anyone watched it in the US? It starts tonight here in the UK. It looks amusing but maybe a bit silly? But I see it won a Golden Globe...
When I was 5 years old, my mother always told me that happiness was the key to life. When I went to school, they asked me what I wanted to be when I grew up. I wrote down ‘happy’. They told me I didn’t understand the assignment, and I told them they didn’t understand life. ~ John Lennon

I have Sky plus recording it and will watch tomorrow morning.  I heard it was really good from a friend back home and all the press has been really positive too.

My mom says it's great (and my mom has pretty good taste - or at least, similar taste to mine!!).  I've got the first eight seasons downloaded but haven't watched them yet (am shamelessly addicted to Gossip Girl at the moment, of all things).  I love Anna Friel and Kristen Chenowith, so really ought to watch tonight! :D

We've got the BT vision recording it on recommendation of the same friend who got us watching Heroes, so we've got high hopes.

If it's as entertaining as Chuck, I'll be quite happy. Enjoyed the first ep of that.

Oh, I love this show. It's sort of quirky, and so a nice change the US tv norm.
Sadly, the second season got pushed back because of the writer's strike.

It is quirky, but interesting. To me, it feels like watching a movie of a children's book, it has that mystical quality to it.

That's exactly what I was thinking when watching it.  I liked it a lot.  I thought it was quite clever, and I liked the characters so far.

What is driving me nuts is there is a specific children's author it reminds me of his/her style, but I can't think of who it is!

I missed it last night! Does anyone know if it will be repeated during the week?

It is absolutely adorable - the stories actually get even better as the show continues, so give it a go if you weren't sure with the first episode. It's also not as precious and twee as it might have been which is quite nice too....

I thought it was a bit Roald Dahl-esque, twisted but lovely stories and all...

I liked it but my god, what has Anna Friel done to her teeth?  They're gleaming in the dark, man!  I just watched her in Our Mutual Friend and she was so stunningful beautiful in that....just wish she didnt feel the need to go the Hollywood route and put new choppers in.. :-\\\\

I liked it, but I think I might get bored easily.

Didn't watch it but heard the review on Radio 5 this evening....thought you be interested in this which was mentioned

Apparently ITV are skipping episode 2 due to "scheduling limitations", someone cocked up I guess and they don't have enough weeks, and they said they looked at it and could "remove episode 2 without spoiling the flow"!!! and they'll show at a later date as a stand-alone episode.

Checked on the listings and next weeks is indeed episode 3!

Just shows that ITV shouldn't be let anywhere near anything resembling quality TV!
