Best time for flat-hunting trip?

Hey again folks!

My approximate move date is Sept 15 and I'm wondering when the best time will be to take a trip to secure housing?  I'm looking in Bath and Bristol.

I'm definately going to have to go the share route.  Obviously, I'd rather have more choices than fewer.  Do I look in early August, late August - or earlier still?

I'd say mid August...about one month is the right way to go.

I'd agree with onetiger.    If you're going to be sharing, you might want to keep an eye on gumtree or craigslist for the area where you'll be living and see approximately how far in advance rooms for let are usually posted.
