my easy breakfast is to take one of those large open cap mushrooms the size of your palm and to nuke it with something in it. Like an egg, or some cheese, or leftover spag bol, or spinach. It's very easy, and quick if you don't mind something not exactly a traditional breakfast.

That's a really good list, jennredd.  Stuff I actually like!  Some of it I already had an idea about but it's nice get it confirmed as well.

It doesn't count as low carb, but if you are doing certain lowER carb plans (South Beach, YOAD, etc), or if your weight/health allows it, then whole wheat products are allowed in very small moderation as long as there isn't fake food in it, like high fructose corn syrups, hydrogenated craps, etc.

I current do YOAD (The YOU! One a Diet "plan" by Dr. Oz, the guy in Oprah all the time) and so each morning I have Kashi oatmeal as it has unprocessed whole oats, whole flax seeds, etc - but that is my only source of whole grains each day.
I'm done moving. Unrepatriated back to the UK, here for good!
