I found squid to be really chewy and not too flavorful...
Goat? Ugh.....well I would like to think I would try anything once...
but that doesn't sound too delectable..

I don't find it particularly gross, but my hubby did. There's this Russian dish called cholodetz which is a layer of chicken meat covered by congealed chicken broth. My mother adores it. I'm kinda indifferent. Hubby tried it and then asked me what that was. When I explained it, he was physically ill. :)

When we visit the folks now, he won't put anything in his mouth until someone gives him a list on ingredients.

I think scungili (sp?) is delicious. I'm surprised that some of you think of squid as an unusual meal. It's pretty much always available in Italian restaurants and I just got some from Morrison's a couple of weeks ago. I would eat it all the time if I could afford it.


I thought this thread was going to be about eating worms or bugs or similar when your were a kid.

I have tried Rocky Mountain oysters before.  I didn't think they were particularly disgusting, but I didn't fancy them either.

Rattlesnake was actually pretty taste. Bear? Not so much.

In terms of disgusting, though, plain old fried liver in a cafe in London. I never tasted it before. Had a bit of DF's, nearly taught it to fly.

Worst thing I ever ate was live baby octopus salad. 

Second worst thing was this horrible jelly thing in Italy that had eggs and meat kinda suspended in it.  Bleurgh.

I'm pretty sure I ate dog when I was in Korea. Also octopus which is really chewy and gross!
