what is the absolute most disgusting thing you have ever eaten?

Just after I had become vegetarian my ex's mum served up something weird for dinner, it was kind of jelly like and tasted quite odd. She wouldn't say what it was til we'd eaten it. It turned out to be sheep's pancreas.

I also don't like Jaffa Cakes or cheesecake. Christmas Pudding is pretty gross as well. HAM!!!

When I tried black pudding, they didn't tell me what it was until after I put it in my mouth and was chewing. 

I love Morning Star veggie sausages. I don't even like regular sausage, but these things are good. I decided to be adventurous and try a few more of their other veggie-meats. The Asian chicken was so gross that I couldn't even swallow it. I couldn't get the taste out of my mouth. Disgusting.

Some bean stew I got out of the freezer last night.....tasted like it had fermented since it was cooked....the first lot was ok when I made it, seems it doesn't freeze though!

And root beer!

I'd also say grits but they were more just pure dull!

There's not really much I don't like! It's more combinations of things - for example, I don't like seafood on pizza, but yet I love seafood and pizza!

I have also had to eat GRUBS while I was in the army...but at least I was getting paid to do so....

Chris loves black & white pudding!...told him what it was after he ate it and said he still likes it!...

Anything fortified with blood.  The kidneys I've had really tasted nasty.  I am generally a pretty adventurous eater, but I have a hard time with organ meats.

Without a doubt, the most disgusting food ever is beetroot.  I hate that it's often shredded up and stuck on salads here.

I love sushi generally (particularly salmon, yellowtail and tuna belly) BUT...

I once had a piece of sea urchin sushi and it was SO GROSS!!!  The texture was like sand and the flavour was too hideous to describe.

Escargot...I know some people absolutely love it, but...EW.

When I was a kid (probably around 8 years old) and we would play truth or dare games, the dare would almost always be getting blindfolded and having something icky put in your mouth.  So, due to that, I've tried fish food, dog food, cat food, buillon cubes, Crisco, and God only knows what else.

Oh we loved to play food dare!  Our rules were they had to be edible by themselves, but had to be a combination that seemed gross to eat together.  So it was always things like cheese with chocolate sauce, pickles and smarties, beef broth and milk, ice cream and ketchup, etc.  Some actually weren't too bad, some were absolutely vile. 

We used to trick our youngest sister into eating baker's chocolate, crisco, etc-  We'd be like- hey, have some yummy chocolate! Or ooh this crisco tastes like whipped cream.  She still yells at us for that.
