What do you think of Diet Coke US vs Diet Coke UK?

Do you think it is the actual country's recipes that are different? I noticed that I liked diet drinks a little more over here, but I never really drank them at all in the US except for rare occassions. After considering what the difference could be, I assumed it was just that better tasting artificial sweeteners were being used with more frequency, both here and in the US, improving the flavour and I just happened to try drinking them while here, not back home.

I don't really drink pop that often though so I can't say I've noticed a difference in normal coke. Though I have noticed a difference in Sprite! It tastes much more sweet hear than the kind of tartness in the US version.
I'm thinking about getting metal legs. It's a risky operation, but it'll be worth it.

I don't know about the recipe but the ingredients listed are the same. Here's the weird part: I could swear on a stack of bibles that Diet Coke and Coke Light here taste differently and the ingredients are the same there too.

Coke Light tastes sweeter and with less of a chemical taste to it than both DC UK and DC US.

I have not, however, conducted a blind taste test or anything so I allowing the possibility that this is all just in my head. :)

No, Diet Coke and Coke Light definitely taste different.  I'm no longer a big diet soda drinker (actually, not much of a soda drinker at all since moving to the UK), but if I have to pick, I prefer Coke Light.

There is a definite difference in both Diet Coke and Coke Zero as well. I noticed only on this last trip to NY I took in March. In NY I had Coke Zero daily and could barely finish it. I find here that it's almost as good as the real thing. Diet Coke has a serious aspartame taste though here that it doesn't in NY. Strange that I won't touch regular Coke in the US but will only have Diet Coke from there and not here in the UK. Go figure.
