I love watching her show!! She is a tad boring but sometimes it's nice just to watch a show that's calm and not crazy with music. The only thing that bothers me is her mic (i'd assume) is so close too her mouth (somehow) that you can hear her breathing really heavy somethings lol.

Yes!  I've noticed this as well!!!  :-X

Everything about this woman annoys me.  I can't cope with watching her for more than 30 seconds, so I'd never realised that her recipes were good!  I hope they're on-line.

Here you go Vicky

I like watching her......most of the time

I find her...condiscending sometimes..and everything is just fantastic or wonderful..that annoys me.

I did hear her say one time that she has those shirts especially made for her.

She used to work for the White House as a budget analysis under Carter

I love all cooking shows, but there is something that grates on me about Ina.  There's something about her relationship with her husband that's just....ick.  She treats him like a toddler and it makes me gag.   :P

And yes, her laugh is INCREDIBLY annoying.  Heh-heh-heh-heh.

Her recipes are wonderful though -- her chicken stew with biscuits is a staple in my house.

I think the thing about her husband is that he is incredibly (visibly) uncomfortable to be on camera, so they just all over act. I love Jeffrey, hes such a nebbishy guy! I love the fact that her recipes are all simple and her presentation is lovely and homely. She reminds me of my Mom without the constant bickering :)

I watch her but only to get a bit of home. After about 30 seconds of that I realise that this woman is so much like Martha Stewart that I want to throw the television out the window. She has this perfect kitchen and needs to show off all of her expensive gadgets and ingredients. For what, a mediocre end result. The other night she was on cooking for a girl's dinner party and it was the most contrived episode and she was like "Oh I have to get started so I can get this all done for her dinner party that "I" am cooking for because I'm so great" Alright, so it wasn't those words exactly but that was and is the way she was acting.

I thought I could tolerate her but seriously, the whole "I'm rich and from the Hamptons" attitude was something that always annoyed me.

I'll stick to watching People's Cookbook at that hour of the night

It seems to me that she herself is kind of uncomfortable on camera sometimes... makes me think that horrible annoying laugh is a nervous reaction.

genau!

It grates on my last nerve when she calls him 'sweetie' and pronounces it 'sweedy'.  :-X

Sorry, that's my geek showing. A / indicates the end of something -- that's how you show terminating HTML tags. I just ommitted the "<>" in case the site tried to interpret it as actualy HTML.

Basically, I was saying that my post was nitty.

And wrong, it turns out, cause I didn't know homey and homely meant the same thing in the U.K.

I love that her show is in East Hampton and I can recognize almost everything when she goes into town. She does not bug me at all, but then my mother sat next to her once on a plane and told me she was absolutely lovely.  I guess I go by that rather then how she is on camera.  (So yeah, I can see what you all mean)

Her stuff all looks so amazing, and so fattening ;D
