I am so annoyed with BA

They are ending their Manchester to JFK service in October. Apparently its not cost effective for them to run this service anymore. How can a flight that is consistantly full not be cost effective? I don't understand. Delta and Continental are still flying from MAN to JFK, but we always had such great service with BA. I am so dissapointed.

They stopped their LGW to Houston service. I bet all the major flights will now go out of Heathrow and their NEW Terminal!!!

Ugh. They all say they want us to fly out of Gatwick, but there are no flights!

I posted elseware that a transatlantic airline went bankrupt today. They stopped service immediately.
I hope knowone here has a ticket on them.

Flights to and from Tampa are still Gatwick, thankfully (Mom & Dad arriving Wednesday).  Have heard from my Mum-in-law that her cousin will be flying into Heathrow terminal 5 from Boston in November though

My husband just flew in and out of the dreaded Terminal 5 last week.  He flies BA a lot.  He said it was actually much less crowded and problematic than the old BA Heathrow experience, and was one of his better trips.  No lost luggage.  So maybe they're beginning to iron out some of the difficulties there?  We can but hope...

On a side note, SlicesMissus you're getting close to your due date!  Good luck! 

Hopefully, with the Open Skies agreement coming into effect, another airline will step forward to fill the gap in Gatwick.

I fly out of there when I fly to Las Vegas, and I really like it. It looks kinda dodgy on the check-in and security floor, but once you get past that, it's really nice!

That's encouraging!  Hopefully they'll smooth everything out by this autumn.

We just back from a trip in and out of T5.  It was easy, uncrowded, and particularly upon arriving back home, one of the quickest times through!  Hope it lasts!  On the flip side, OH just arrived back in via T3 and it took quite a while. 

I recently had a flight from Heathrow T3 which departed at 2.30pm. I checked in at noon and the terminal was like a ghost town. I saw a few airline employees doing their make-up, filing nails and chatting on mobiles. As I approached the AA desk there wasn't a soul in front of me I asked why it was so idle and the gal told me it's never busy that time of day. I'll keep that in mind for future travel. I usually fly first thing in the morning which is always a madhouse!
