ILR question - Previous addresses
« on: April 29, 2008, 07:09:05 PM »
Okay, I know that I need a letter stating that we resided with family,  but do I also need to send proof that they own the residence?  Does it follow the same criteria as when we went for my spousal visa?

We are no longer living with DH's family and haven't for a year and a half, but I want to make sure all bases are covered.

Thanks as always!

The proof of ownership requirement is for entry clearances to assure that those offering the accommodation have the capacity to do so; you're going for ILR.  You lived there, you have evidence, and that's that.

Since you got your household up and running within the first 6 months, they will like it because that's exactly what they want to see in cases of co-sponsorship.

I think you'll do fine.
