I don't think there's any possible way he can repair his image.  People aren't going to change their opinions of him or his beliefs - either you like him, or you think he's a loony.

While I enjoy reading speculations about their bizarre life behind closed doors, I do think they're mostly normal -- or as normal as a celeb couple could be. I don't think there's a lot of weird stuff going on there, but Tom definitely has a bit of a nutter in him.

Oh, I'm sure there are many people who still adore him.  Just as there are people who still adore other celebrities who have gone completely off the rails.
