For some reason I tend to get picked for "random" security checks and I've found (after actual testing) that if I pile a bunch of tampons loosely on top of my clothes (the ones in the pink wrappers work really well) then they pop open the suitcase, freak out a bit, zip it right back up and let me on my way.  ;D

Years ago I used to sneak food, disposable cameras and other contraband into concerts via my handbag.

I got a massive maxi pad (with wings!), unrolled it and covered the inside of my handbag with it. When security would search my handbag, chances were high they'd see the pad and instantly move me on. Now if the security guard had a bunch of sisters, my plan didn't work!

So I'd try the feminine hygiene products in the suitcase trick!

You gonna try to make a claim, Pebs?

And if you threw a party
Invited everyone you knew
You would see the biggest gift would be from me
And the card attached would say
"Thank you for being a friend!"

I don't know. It wasn't of great value the things that were damaged but I may do just for the principle of the matter.  :-\\\\

I had the TSA note 2 or 3 times in a row....it's quite disconcerting to get to Manchester airport and find your lock is missing! I bought one of those TSA approved locks.....now I know that won't stop them but it will stop me having to buy a new lock every trip! Oh and are they supposed to put the note in if they open that lock? I think it's supposed to change colour if they've opened it, in which case they haven't opened it so far (2 trips)....perhaps if they see one of those they trust you.

To be honest I don't even bother locking my bags anymore. What's the point?   :-\\\\

I agree...I lock my bags all the time and once my new suitcase had clearly been slashed open with a knife but nothing had been removed.
