No - just an over officious person in HR who has no idea about anything.  The problem is all sorted now and they admitted it was their mistake and that they had "misunderstood".

As an English citizen I am fed up with this place - you do everything legally and you just come up against problems after problems.

Not to mention that "English citizens" were made illegal in 1707.   ;D
