Taxi!

Anyone have an idea of how much a Paris taxi would charge from Paris Nord station to the Eiffel Tower area??  Even a rough estimate would be helpful. :)  I've looked online and haven't been able to find a sample fare for a similar journey.

We avoided taxis, but took the Metro everywhere.  They were REALLY good.  Everytime I thought it'd take 30 minutes to get somewhere, we would be there in 10.  Really recommend the Metro.  Cheaper and probably faster.  Best of luck though!

I second that - definitely take the Metro.

I'd imagine it'd only be about 20 euros or so, but I could be wrong. And I'd recommend the metro too, it's as easy as pie. Plus, Paris taxis are nuts! You'll know what I mean when they drive you around the Arc de Triumphe. I nearly wet myself!   :o

I plan on the Metro the entire time we're there, EXCEPT on arrival late'ish (is that a word?) at night. :) There are 4 of us with a number of bags and I thought a taxi to the hotel would be a better way to go than dealing with luggage on the metro.  I was hoping it'd be under E20, otherwise we are gonna have to just trekk along. ;)

Yeah.. I've heard about the Arc d'Triomphe (sp?) and how it's suicide for pedestrians... Can hardly wait  ;D

Have you ever played the game, Frogger?  That's what it felt like...and I was the frog trying to get across the road!
