Colonic Irragation
« on: May 18, 2008, 12:51:38 PM »
OK Has anyone had it or would care to admit they have??

I am thinking of having this done.

There was a article in the local paper saying that some ppl can carry up to 20lbs of excess poo in the folds and crevices of your colon, and that it was not good to let that stay there as nastiness can develop.

any comments are welcome

I would definitely have a go if I had some spare cash. I'm super curious about it and I've read enough about things like the difficulties humans have with digesting meat, etc. that it seems like it would probably be beneficial. I think I'd particularly like to do it prior to a "fresh start" of sorts - like before deciding to cut back on meat and processed foods!

I'm not sure. The thought of it just kind of makes me shudder! The idea of "cleaning house" sounds good, but I'm not sure I really want to know about any spare poo I'm carrying around!  :P

This could be a thread with TMI.

Also in the article it said that a "normal" person should go to the toilet 3 times a day..and that ppl eat to much of the wrong food in more cultured enviroments. Anyways I am lucky if I go every 3 days..and I am sure I would feel SO much better if I had this done...

It cost 75gbp's to have 1 session done so when the money from my house sale goes thru I am going to get it done...along with getting my teeth whitened ;D

Will let you know how it goes...

LOL. TMI overload!!  ;) M, it might be worth taking a fibre supplement. I've always had a... funny system and except when I go through my vegetarian phases and eat TONS of fruit and veg. and drink loads of water I am far from 3x a day! But I stir a couple of spoonsfull of Benefibre into my coffee in the morning now and I do feel better for it. The problem with that is I suppose if you were eating what you should be eating then you wouldn't need a supplement. But let's face it, not many of us have the time or circumstances to be able to eat like saints!!!

If I had spare cash, I'd get it done as well.  My ex-BF's SIL had colonics regularly and swore by them.  She said there were days she would feel a bit sluggish and not know why, but once she started with colonic irrigation, it resolved the problem.

3 times a day??? :o  My pre pregnancy norm was every other day, and now I'm lucky if I can manage twice a week!!!!!  No, wonder I feel like sh*t, I must be completely full of it ;D

Benefibre hadn't thought of that...

But even if I did help the clockwork along it won't get rid of the excess that is for better wont of a word impacted  :-X right now..but I can get it done once and then work from a (HAHA) clean slate......

I've always wanted to get it done, but never had the spare cash to justify it.

I'm not the most "regular" when it comes to that department either, especially since moving here.

I'm a 1-2 times a day girl! I can't believe I'm divulging this, but what the heck. I never skip a day unless I'm away from home. I can't go in someone else's house! I think I may be regular because of not eating red meat. I usually eat lots of fruit and veg, although there are times when my diet isn't that healthy. But there's still no red meat, so that might be a factor. I don't take supplements at all.

So maybe I'm only carrying around a pound or so of spare stuff!  :-X

I've always been interested in trying it. My BFF was planning on going last week to get it done, not sure if she did.

MeShell, I love that you want Colonic Irrigation and teeth whitening... fixing up both ends??  ;D
