Personal Finance Software
« on: May 20, 2008, 02:42:16 PM »
Hi,

I know this is a tax forum not a finance forum but this was the closest I could find. :-)

I just wanted to know what software everyone is using to manage their finances. Be it personal finances and/or small business finances.

As far as I know, Quicken is not available in the UK and MS Money is lagging behind with latest version being 2005.

Thanks.

There's a Money Matters forum around here someplace that might have some answers - I have to admit I just use a good old fashioned spreadsheet these days rather than MS Money or Quicken but I'm pretty sure the latter is available here in the UK - Dennis will know for sure, whenever he sees this thread!  ;D

I use the free one that came with Windows Vista, Microsoft Works.

Failing that...same as meg....the trusty old spreadsheet.

Thanks guys. Spreadsheet work find for people who have control over their finances, I don't.  ;D

Over the years I have realized that if I see a lot of money in one account, I go out and spend it, hehe. Now I open a lot of accounts at various institutions and distribute my money. This way all I see if little here and little there allowing me to save a bit more :-)
