Here's one more for you Dar ;) (though it's apparently very near the Coliseum):

As I borrowed my mom's raincoat today (yes, it's raining in California AGAIN), I reached into a pocket and found this:

Hollywood, CA -> London, UK 2004
London, UK -> Long Beach, CA 2007

Best 3 1/2 years of my life!

If you do use the Metro, a word of warning:  Be careful in Termini station.  Ross got his pocket picked there - there are gangs of professional pickpockets, and that kind of ruined the day for us (exceedingly stupid, really.  They only got 20 Euros, but we got a huge headache and spent the rest of the day cancelling all our cards).  Just maintain your "personal space" and it will be fine.  Have a good time!

Funny you say that!  My husband bought me a Pac Safe bag this weekend.  It is slash proof and the zippers lock.  It is the perfect size for camera, ID, and cash.  I will still maintain the personal space though.  :)

Did I ever tell you that you are evil (in a good way)?  Thanks for that too!  I have my little list going.  And I will be there in less than a week!  Hurray!
I am the architect of my destiny.

Well, it's literally on the other side of the street from the Forum, leading down to the Coliseum... so it's already on your way ;)
I suppose there are too many things to list that one should not miss when visiting Rome, but I'd think the Coliseum is a MUST!!
