Hadn't thought of that, but I fear the overexposure of GN.

Wogan's part of the experience for me...

Over the last 2 years Wogan has been nothing but offensive and xenophobic. He should go.

I think it should be called "The Eastern EuropeanVision Song Contest" and that the UK and other western countries should just stay out of it now. No point in participating.

It might be better!! I think Graham Norton should do it.

He'd be great I think.

How so?

How so?

(sorry, lost the rest of the quote) this is to do with Terry Wogans commentary.

Well, everything he pretty much laughs at every act like "look at the funny foreigners", he makes fun of anything thats different. And to be honest, I find him really offensive. I used to think he was funny, but now, I think he is bored with it. His commentary this year was minimal, he barely said anyting, but last year I was quite shocked at the whole thing.

And no I don't think the whole point of the show is to laugh at the foreigners.

Sounds like I missed that? Seems like I've edited him.

I tend to fast forward to the songs these days - it's just not as good anymore, anyways.

Eurovision isn't really as fun as it used to be.  It's true a lot of countries take it a lot more seriously than the UK does. For us it's a big eurotrash extravaganza. For them, it's a serious music contest. I say get rid of Wogan, bring on Graham Norton and put the fun back into it.

Totally agree.

I'd personally wait to see it before I make a judgement. I like GN, but he's everywhere these days.

And take their money with them.

I think that is unfair on Wogan.  He mocks EVERYONE, the UK and Ireland included.  It can't be xenophobic if he laughs at his onw country and his adopted country as well!

I think he is getting jaded, but I can't say I blame him. He's still the best thing about the whole contest.

I don't think he's being xenophobic either. He's just trying to be funny, but failing. He's past it! I think getting a knighthood has gone to his head too. He seems to think Eurovision will collapse if he leaves but honestly, who cares??!!

I agree - I don't think he's being xenophobic.  He's like that with everyone.

No wonder he's sick of the eastern block voting.  Its annoying and takes out the "fun" of Eurovision!  Makes it too predictable!
