Munich/Bavaria in July - Is it too hot?
« on: May 25, 2008, 01:58:06 PM »
We're considering going to Munich this summer, but we're wondering if it will be uncomfortably hot.  Has anyone been there at that time of year?

I found it pretty hot... hotter than I'm comfortable with, but im definitely a winter girl.  I don't like weather warmer than 75 F or so.

I will be in Munich and Bamberg in July/August myself... probably moaning about being too hot!

Because Munich is near the alps it is effected by some weird weather system called the foehn. I guess it creates some type of high pressure system that can make it really hot. The nice part is that you are never too far from a nice, shady beer garden to get a cool drink in!
