Hi
« on: May 07, 2004, 01:46:53 PM »
Someone on another site recommended this site to me. I live in the states and the love of my life is in London. This is very difficult and we are discussing me moving there which is both exciting and a little frightening! :) I hope to make several new friends here!

Hi dreamersheart! I like the nick!  It is indeed a good thing to be a dreamer!  There are many of us in the same boat or that have been in the same boat as you.  Hope to read/see more of you in the future and welcome to UKY!

Welcome to the board!  I wish you the best of luck.  I think you'll find many people on the board are in or have been in similar circumstances...I'm one of the few who is moving to England (London) for a job and not love.  I'm hoping to meet someone while I'm there though...several years of not dating would be tough!

Hi there. Welcome.  I can tell you, there are some great people on this forum!!!  Very helpful and have answers to all your questions.  I actually went through the same thing last year.  Richard and I decided that I would move to England to live with him and see if we wanted to make a go of it!  Well, four months later I was engaged, and two months after that married.  I am now home in NY planning our 2nd of three weddings this year. So I say, take the chance!  Loving someone that you can't be with is a terrible thing!
